The Azores 100 Milhas is a semi-autonomy Trail Run Endurance Race that can be performed individually (Azores 100 Milhas Solo) and in relay format (Azores 100 Milhas Relay).

  4. Navigation/marks: Navigation by GPS device. Athletes must bring a GPS guidance device with the track provided by the organization. The organization will mark the route in places that are doubtful or difficult to perceive.

  11. Supplies and Control: 8 PACs (Control and Supply Points) – 3 Life Bases – 4 athlete bag accesses. Note: PAC8 Lombadas, has restricted access, reserved for the organization's vehicles, but it can be accessed on foot (2km). The vehicle can be,  properly parked, at the crossing to access the PAC, on the Caldeiras da Ribeira Grande/Monte Escuro road. GP 37.78669, -25.46452 (681m altitude).
  12. Time Limit:48 hours (there will be a time limit on each PAC, see PAC chart).
  13. Athlets Support: Support for athletes by elements outside the organization is allowed at any point on the course. 
  14. Pacer: Each athlete can take 1 companion (pacer) to run with, from PAC7 Maia to the finish. Pacer cannot carry any athletes material. 
  15. Registration Fee (3 phases): 110€ (01/09 – 31/12) / 130€ (01/01 – 28/02) / 150€ (01/03 – 25/03). The registration fee can be phased in 2 phases parts of 50% of the payment (until 01/31 and 02/01 to 02/28).
  16. Mandatory Equipment: bib, navigation GPS device, backpack or similar, survivor blanket, waterproof jacket, operation phone, whistle, cup, 2 flashlights with replacement batteries, red tail right, elastic band or bandage.
  17. Recommended Equipment: Walking poles; Long running trousers which cover the knees completely; Cap (Buff); Change of clothing; Sun cream; Cash amount (to deal with any complications), medicines, gloves.
  18. What´s included: bib; extra bib for pacer; tracker GPS (this is not the navigation GPS device) ; Supply at PACs; finisher medal/podium trophy; race insurance; t-shirt; health support; DNF transport; after race meal.
  19. Hard Ground: Only available for the nights of April 8th and 9th. Some mattresses and blankets will be available. Athletes are advised to bring their material.

  1. Format: relay race (male, female and mixed) - 3 Athletes - 8 tracks - athlete change at all PACs - Transport is team responsibility.
